The rectangular shape allows the Aquarium Stand to fit snugly up against a wall, creating a 3 sided view of the aquarium. Aquarium is not included. The Aquarium Stand ships flat to your door and requires assembly upon opening. Two adults are recommended to assemble. The Stand is built to hold up to 37 gallon aquariums or up to 450 lbs.
